Home Again, Home Again

Ben & Jerry Ice Cream

Just arrived back from my week long days away from this City we live in.. or that I live in along with some of you.. Good times and relaxation were had. I came home to a quiet apartment, and lots of wind! The airplane landing a few minutes ago was the scariest I have ever been part of, I will tell you about that in a bit.

It was extremely good and healthy for me to be away. I followed no schedule, slept as much as I could and ate what I wanted. I even ate ICE CREAM, which you should be aware is a no-no for me. I had something like 7 different flavors of Ben and Jerry's .. the little $1 pints and a whole PHISH FOOD, my favorite flavor of the bad stuff!

I read a lot, everything from UFO sightings and music news, to the production of Solar-Power Produced Beer, (you can read about that over @ Treehugger) and even a bit about actual current events. All in all, it was a great week. I won't get into to many personal details, but be assured that I am fully rested, a little bit weary at the same time and all in all a much better mood. I am home and headed back to a routine as of the morning tomorrow.

Both of my flights to and from the City were fairly uneventful, aside from last minute delays on the way home, which turned out to be a blessing, otherwise I may have missed my flight. The return flight was a bit bumpy..and due to all of this wind, the landing was incredibly turbulent. Much props to the captain, because the plane set down rather smoothly.. given that the tail and the nose of the thing seemed to be on different trajectories.. I mean all of the passengers actually applauded when we landed, telling me they were just as freaked out as I was. At one point during the turbulence, the flight attendant began to say something.. then sort of frantically blurted out" just make sure your seat-belts are fastened everyone!".. haha.. I was scared from that point on, I will tell you That. It is fortunate that I have never dealt with that before, but it was really interesting.. to say the least.

So what did I miss here? I know we had EARTH HOUR LV and it seemed to be a great success with something like thousands of people participating. I wrote about it over at Continuum, and you can read about it here. Pretty good stuff with plenty of information and photos to be seen on that site. I heard from Colleen over @ PASTRIES NOT PASTIES that it was quite a sight on the Las Vegas Strip. I will have to see what I can find in the photo archives in the net and the Twit Pics that were sent out.

What's up with all of you? Ready for April? It's upon us.. looking forward to hearing from you!
