Wild Ride

Ha.. It seems lately that I have been taking more 'vacations' than I ever have in my whole life.I mean, not all-out full blown traveling adventures.. but I have realized how great it is to get away fro a few days. This time I took a short flight to Los Angeles.. Hollywood area. I have never really been as an adult.. so I figured why not? I booked one of those last minute weekend trips through Travelocity and saved a bunch of cash, over booking separately. The whole trip with spending money was not very expensive at all, and we know that Jiggins likes to eat well and party a bit when on 'vacation'.

The first night I checked out "Ketchup" .. you can read my review of the experience thru the link.. I was literally passing by - and saw the on the street, so we gave it a shot. The next night, we visited Lola's.. (still workin' on that review) ... and I saw Adrien Brody eating there. I also saw Joel Mchale at LAX, and Shia Labouef.. also at the airport on my way back to Vegas. I even had short conversation with Shia in LAX. Nothing major, just sayin what's up.He's a nice guy. I don't get star-struck very easily, but it was a neat experience going to Hollywood and just seeing the people you watch in movies..wandering around, living their daily lives. So I chilled.. and watched, and relaxed.

Today I got back into to Vegas around noon, with plans for a good shower and a long nap! I got up at 730 am this morning after going to bed around 2a.m last night...I had a 1030 flight and I wanted to get breakfast at Mel's Drive-In on Sunset before I left town. You know my days revolve around a good meal. (I had a chorizo omelet with avocado! :) The place is an icon, and thus I felt I needed to check it out. It was good.

So that was my mini vacation. Checked out Hollywood, I went to Beverly Hills just to look round, and even found a new favorite shop.. called Cafe Coton. You don't want to know how much I spent there. I only got a few things as well.. but they had a buy 1 get 1 sale happening... so I had to check it out. The stuff they make and sell is.. QUALITY. I am impressed.

Well, that's ME lately. Back to the grind this week, and back to saving some cash before the dreaded Summer months, and slow season. Talk to yo all soon! How is your week going so far?!
