This week's trip to the 11:59 Cinema was to see a really finny movie called "Funny People" Starring Adam Sandler, and Seth Rogan. The movie was also produced by Judd Apatow, who brought you other funny flicks like"Knocked Up" and "Pineapple Express". Seth Rogan really brought it up a notch with is performance. I mean, it's not like some kind of breakthrough performance, but I lost interest in Adam Sandler's movies a long time ago. This one has me wanting to see more films he is in... a renewal of faith if you will.
The timing of the comedy, the story-line and all the actors that were in, along with many, many cameos by famous comedians.. really made this something special to watch. There was even a short scene with Eminem.. which I don't tell you as incentive.. just as a funny fact. Seth Rogan departed from his usual slapstick comedy that he has become known for and turned up his acting levels. He was this little, geeky Jewish guy that was trying to become a comedian. He was awkward and goofy, and delivered the story like a champ. I would see this again in a heartbeat.. and I will be adding this to my permanent collection once it is available. Go check it out! Hope to hear from you all about it soon!
