11:59 Cinema: Bruno!

I am a fan of a good movie. 'Flick', Film, Documentary.. short film.. anything great that has been put together with someone's deep-down creativity.. for the sake of the art of it all. Often times, my movie watching experiences are limited to the late-night variety. Whether it be catching a Netflix movie.. streamed directly to my desktop, or hitting up the local movie theater for a late-night screening of the newest Summer blockbuster.. I just like to watch! ;)

This week I joined a buddy at the 11:59 showing of Bruno. Yes.. Bruno. I had a feeling that I would be either severely annoyed or laughing my ass off within 10 minutes of the film starting up.. and realistically, I ended up somewhere in the middle. Most of the time was spent with my hand over my eyes.. and watching through my fingers! Haha.. it was ridiculous. To be honest, Bruno is exactly the film that I don't usually like to see in a theater, or at all.. for that matter.. but it is part of my regular late night Thursday movie trip with some friends. Sacha Baron Cohen has become quite the 'star' y creating these characters and 'releasing' them on the unassuming public. It makes me laugh, because you have to put yourself in the position on the end that i actually perceieving this guy.. or any of the characters Mr. Baron Cohen has created. It drives me crazy. I guess I feel like I would be so dumbstruck by what was going on..that i would probably walk away from him!

In any event.. the movie was entertaining. I wouldn't go see it again..anytime soon.. and I truthfully haven't even seen Borat.. but it was worth a few good laughs!
