Ligit!

Image representing Lijit as depicted in CrunchBase

Today I came across a great little widget for your blogger page called "Ligit". So, what does "Ligit" Do?

"Lijit provides a nice search tool for your site that will not only search your blog, but search the blogs of your friends, and all of the related sites (Flickr, YouTube, Picasa, del.icio.us bookmarks, etc.) that you and your friends use regularly." "Where Lijit shines is in the stats they gather for you: what are people searching for when they come to your blog? Once they arrive, what do they then look for? Where are they coming from? How has search traffic changed over time?

You can read more about it on Blogger Buzz. Click here for their full story about "Ligit". In a sense, it gathers information about the sites that are visited after someone visits your blog or site, and it keeps track of what people are looking for when they come to your pages. A widget is created based on your personal preferences that can live happily in your sidebar. You can see mine over there if you take a look :) There is a "Surprise Me" feature built in to the widget that will generate a random page from the blog that you may have not visited before. For my blog, this widget is a great little search engine that is able to scour your posts and deliver the information quite nicely. If you click the "EXPLORE" button .. it is quite a neat little map of the connections to and from "Splitting Tens." Give it a try.

*On a quick note.. "Splitting Tens" is currently being transferred to a different web address .. the new one will be "www.split2tens.com". As a result the comment form is having difficulties...as in.. it MAY or MAYNOT allow you to leave comments. I have received a few emails from some readers about that.. and I do apologize. It is not the most efficient way to do things, but I am at the mercy of the Blogger Powers That Be. Soon, it will be sorted out. Thanks for your patience. If you would like to leave a comment in the meantime, please send them to lostboyblue@gmail.com - with BLOG COMMENT in the title. I will post asap. Thanks as always!!!
